SWIM LESSONS (All Abilities & Ages)

The Pools of Hope offers various Swim Lesson programs to help children and adults of all ages and abilities to learn how to swim and to enjoy their aquatic experience.

All classes are based on the American Red Cross' learn-to-swim program. Each course combines skills and instruction in safety and swimming. Students are recommended to proceed at their own ability to learn the different the skill levels. We offer adaptive swimming lessons and swimming lessons the individuals of all ages and abilities.

Therapeutic Swim Lesson Program (TSL)

Special Needs Children & Adults Therapeutic Swim Lesson (TSL) – Ages 18+older

Pools of Hope specializes in providing individual adapted therapeutic swim lessons to children and adults with disabilities. We use modified swimming techniques that are designed to accommodate the participant’s ability and includes the various elementary and fundamental aquatics and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.

Individual and group year-round swimming lessons are provided to children and adults with special needs. The lessons are ideal for individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, diabetes, and many other conditions.Bifida, and many other disabilities.

Private Swim Lesson Program for Children and Adults

Children and Adult individual and group lessons are available at all levels. Classes are customized to meet the goals and needs of individual participants, who are generally at the beginner stage.

Children Individual Lessons provides eight (8) 30-minute sessions.

Semi-Private Children Lessons provide eight (8) 30-minute sessions. (Limited two students.)

Children Group Lessons are eight (8) 30-minute lessons (Three to Six children per group).

Adult Individual Lessons are provided in four (4) one- hour sessions.

Adult Group Lessons are provided in eight (8) 30 minutes session.

Mommy & Me & Daddy Too!

(Ages 6-months - 2)

Individuals with Special Needs - Ages 18 months & Older

This program provides eight (8) 30-minute sessions for both parent and child. These courses provide instruction on support and holding techniques, selecting and using lifejackets, water adjustment, changing positions, breath control, water entry and exit, and basic skills for swimming on front and back.

Tiny Tots

(Ages 2 to 5)

This program provides swim lessons for toddlers teaching basic swimming skills and helping the swimmer to learn boundaries in and around the water.

Each year, our warm water pools provide rehabilitation and wellness to over 1500 children with developmental disabilities, veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities. Our warm water pools are credited with helping people to improve their physical and mental wellness.
